Privacy policy
Short version: we only collect your email address if you choose to sign up for the free planner, and the calculator runs entirely in your browser — the numbers you type are never sent to us.
What we collect
Email signups: if you request the Payback Planner, we store your email address, the page you signed up from, the time, and your approximate country (from Cloudflare) in a private database hosted by Cloudflare. We use it only to send freeze-drying cost tips and updates; every email will include an unsubscribe link. We never sell or share your email. To have it deleted, reply to any email from us or contact us via the about page. We do not run accounts. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) may process standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and requested URLs in server logs for security and performance. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts are requested.
Cookies
This site itself sets no tracking cookies. If you click an affiliate link to a retailer (e.g. Harvest Right or Amazon), that retailer may set cookies to attribute your purchase; their privacy policies apply there.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It is privacy-focused: it sets no cookies, does not use local storage, and does not track you across websites. It records aggregate data such as the page visited, referrer, browser type, country and page-load performance. See Cloudflare Web Analytics for details.
Your rights
Because the only personal data we hold is the email address of people who sign up, we can export or delete it on request. Depending on your state (for example California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights regarding data held by our service providers.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13.
